Chicken Chow Mein

Serves - 4

Total Time - 20 Minutes

Ingredients

Meat

  • 3 chicken breasts

Vegetables

  • 1 Cup of Chopped Celery
  • 1 Cup of Coarsely Chopped Bean Sprouts
  • 1 Cup of Sliced Water Chestnuts
  • Optional:  Use whatever vegetables you like in chow mein

Sauce

  • 1/4 ts garlic powder
  • 1 TB soy sauce
  • 1 chicken flavored bullion cube dissolved in 1 cup of water
  • 1 TB cornstarch
  • 1 TB cooking wine

Preparation

  1. Combine sauce and set aside.
  2. Stir fry chicken for 5 to 10 minutes, or until done.  Remove from wok.
  3. Stir fry vegetables for 5 minutes.
  4. Move vegetables to side of wok.  Add sauce and let it boil until it starts to thicken.
  5. Add chicken and stir everything together until sauce is sufficiently thick and chicken is hot.
  6. Serve over crunchy chow mein noodles or rice.
